PSAT

Greetings Parents:
Tenth-grade students are scheduled to take the Preliminary SAT (PSAT) on October 14, 2020.
Taking this assessment is an excellent way to discover how ready students are for college and
career. This test measures the knowledge and skills students have gained in reading, writing
and language, and math. The PSAT measures reasoning and critical thinking skills, which will
help students during high school, college, and everyday life.

Whether your students are on the traditional, A-Day, B-Day, or Virtual schedule, we invite them
to attend school on Wednesday, October 14. This test is only given on campus.
Wednesday is the 1:00 early dismissal day. Students will arrive by 8:50. The test will begin at
9:00 and end no later than 1:00. Students will be provided lunch at a designated testing break.
Social distancing protocol as prescribed by PCSSD will be followed during testing and breaks.
Students and staff will wear masks at all times; water bottles and a sanitizing station will be
available for students.

In order to properly prepare for the arrival of testing students, we need an accurate count of students. If your student does not normally attend school on this weekday (Wednesday), please email sfreeman4994@pcssd.org with your student’s name and method of transportation home after the test (i.e. bus#, car rider).  Please send this information by Monday, September 28, 2020.

Thank you in advance,

Duane Clayton, Principal

Andrea Johnson, Assistant Principal
