The students at Baker Elementary have spent the past month diving into the exciting world of the electoral process! It all started with each class nominating their favorite snack, and then the primary election helped narrow it down to the top two contenders: Nerd Gummy Clusters and Slime Lickers. After a week of lively campaigning, the big day arrived on Monday, November 4th, for the popular vote.
On Tuesday, November 5th, the whole school gathered for a live Google Meet, where each class—representing a ""state""—cast their votes in a fun, interactive way. From Pre-K to 5th grade, the students were thrilled to learn how the electoral system works. It was a wonderful experience, one full of excitement and learning, and we hope it’s an adventure they’ll remember for years to come!

Baker students participated in our annual “PBIS Kickoff” where we recognize and celebrate the expectations that make a good student. Here at Baker, we are respectful, responsible, motivated and committed! Ms.Hudson’s class found all the missing horseshoes that the horseshoe bandit had “stolen” and put back together the word “responsible!"

During Halloween week, Ms. Hudson's first graders got to show their artistic skills by painting pumpkins! They also got to experience the ooey gooey feeling of the inside of a pumpkin while they worked on sorting and counting groups of tens using the seeds inside!

November is National Military Family Appreciation Month, a time to honor the resilience and sacrifices of military families. Thank you for your service and unwavering support! #pcssdproud #serveall
