Students in Dr. Franco's class celebrated El Día de Muertos (the Day of the Dead) yesterday. This is Mexican holiday where families remember their deceased relatives on November 1 and 2. People usually put altars or offerings and include decorations with objects; displays of the deceased's favorite foods and drinks, as well as ornamental and personal objects, flowers, candles and photographs of their loved ones.











November is National Military Family Month, a recognition first established in 1996. Since then, November is a time to acknowledge the tremendous sacrifices our military families make. Thank you, military families, for your dedication and service. #pcssdproud #serveall


Mills University Studies is proud to announce that Gustavo Miranda earned a chair in the All-Region Choir and is also eligible to audition for All-State Choir in February. George Belt was also selected as an alternate! Congrats to our choir students!

PCSSD Fine Arts teachers are committed to sharing their craft and passing along their knowledge and art to others. MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH is proud to offer a variety of fine arts programs, including forensics. Mr. Patrick Laxson does an incredible job working with our students to enhance their speech and debate skills.


Students in Dr. Franco's Spanish class spent a month participating in a variety of activities for Hispanic Heritage month. Now, students are gearing up for Dia de los muertos (Day of the Dead) which is celebrated on November 1 - 2.











Last week students from Mr. Trentacosta's AVID II class visited Arkadelphia for a college tour. Students had the chance to visit Henderson State University and Ouachita Baptist University. It's important to expose to students to a variety of collegiate options and they learn so much on these visits!
