Congratulations to MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH alumni Jalon Davis for making the @Ouachita drumline to play the bass drum. Davis is a 2021 honors graduate and received a band scholarship. He is a double-major in computer science and music. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

The Arkansas Department of Education is hosting the 2021 Arkansas #CSTechFest on Oct. 16. The free, hands-on event for families will take place at the University of Arkansas of Little Rock for students in grades 6-12.

PCSSD has an important issue coming to voters on the November 2, 2021 ballot. We are asking voters for permission to use mills (already approved) to build and improve facilities across the District. In the Mills feeder, we'll see a retrofit of Harris and College Station plus a new arena at the high school.

Tomorrow, October 1, 2021, Mills U.S. High will observe homecoming. The assembly schedule is attached. At 7pm, the Comet Football team will host Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs @ Comet Stadium to continue conference play. Currently, the Comets are 4-0. Come out and support the BLAZING COMETS! Students (and staff) from MAUMELLE, MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES and ROBINSON high schools attended the Innovation Rally last week through the Office of Innovation for Education. They networked & collaborated on innovative ideas and processes for transforming learning. These 3 high schools also received their redesignation as a School of Innovation. Additionally, ROBINSON HIGH DRIVEN students presented to the group on how they plan their "flex day" (a student-led day of learning).

Many PCSSD schools participated in Peace Week. This year's theme was "Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world." The activities focused on promoting peacemaking in our society and spreading compassion, kindness, and hope in our community.
