Mills University Studies High School is proud to announce our new 2025-2026 Academy Ambassadors! These students were recently named after an application and interview process. They had the honor of meeting with our school board representative, Ms. Tina Ward as they enter their new roles. These students will represent the Academies of Central Arkansas that are present at our campus. They welcome guests, introduce new students, and represent the campus through various activities. We are very proud of this group of ambassadors and look forward to seeing all that they accomplish in this role!

Recently our AVID seniors visited Harding University campus. Students attended Black & Gold Day where they gained insightful information on the opportunities available at Harding. Students attended college classes, received information about scholarships, toured the campus, and received a delicious meal of their choice. They had a great time learning about this choice for life after high school!

The third week of September is National Security Officer Appreciation Week. This week allows us to highlight the amazing work of our dozens of security officers at PCSSD. This includes monitoring the school, preventing unauthorized entries, responding to emergencies, investigating misconduct, and, most importantly, supporting students. We are so thankful for all their hard work. #PCSSDproud #ServeAll

We are proud to celebrate Chef Appreciation Week, a time to honor the chefs who bring passion, creativity, and care to every meal they prepare for our students. At PCSSD, we have a pair of chefs who transform food into celebration, comfort, connection, and community – Chartwells' Executive Chef King Joseph and Chef Sarah Montgomery, who prepare meals in our cafés & caterings for district staff; help train our kitchen staffs; conduct in-café programs with our students; and so much more. Thank you, Chef King & Chef Sarah, for all you do for the students of PCSSD!

The safety and well-being of our students is always our priority. If your child has a life-threatening allergy that requires the use of an EpiPen, it is essential that you provide the school with a current, prescribed EpiPen to be kept on campus.
Having an EpiPen readily available at school ensures that we can respond immediately and effectively in the event of an allergic reaction. Allergic emergencies can happen suddenly, and quick access to this medication can help save a life.
Please take the following steps as soon as possible:
- Send a labeled, unexpired EpiPen to school.
- Ensure that the school nurse has an up-to-date allergy action plan for your child.
- Keep the school informed of any changes to your child's medical needs.
We deeply appreciate your partnership in keeping our students safe. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the school office or nurse at 501-490-5700.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this important matter.
